Volkslied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es war eine schöne Prinzessin,
So weiss wie schimmernder Schnee,
Sie wohnte in goldenen Schlosse,
Das stand auf stolzer Höh.
Und unter dem goldenen Schlosse,
Ein wilder Bergwald war.
Drin lebte ein Köhler-Knabe -
Hatt´ schwarz wie Kohlen das Haar!

Einst stieg die Prinzessin hinunter
Zum schönen Köhlerknab,
Sprach: musst mein König werden,
Weil ich dich so lieb hab!
Der Knabe ward ein König -
Er zog hinauf ins Schloss,
Und um ihn standen die Ritter -
Die Knappen als Edeltross.

Er sass auf goldenem Throne
mit stolzem Herrscherblick
Und dacht ans Köhlerleben
Sein Leben lang zurück.
