by Bruno Hardt-Warden (born Bruno Wradatsch) (1883 - 1954)

Herbstzeitlosen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Letzte Blumen, Herbstzeitlosen
längst verblüht sind alle Rosen
und die andern Blumen auch . . .

Euer traumhaft blasses Mahnen
läßt die Schicksalsstunde ahnen
jeden Baum und jeden Strauch!

Und die Seelchen aller toten
weißen, blauen, gelben, roten
Blumen gleiten über euch.

Singen euch das Lied vom herben
unerbittlich wehen Sterben
und vom kalten Todesreich . . .

Heimatlose Schmetterlinge
suchen euch mit müder Schwinge
wohl zur letzten Ruhe nur . . .

und so leuchtet ihr wie kleine
ungezählte Marmorsteine
auf dem Friedhof der Natur.
