Mei‑seringen
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Meiseringen
doen mij zingen,
nu 'k stil loopend langs het koren
langs verhelde
groene velden,
voel me een lichtkind, nieuw geboren.

Nu te zwerven,
niets te derven,
luistrend naar de grijslawerken,
die daar hangen,
zingend zangen ,
rustend op de sterke vlerken.

Lachen oogen
in den hoogen,
in ontroerend liefdegeven ?
In de luchten
wolken vluchten,
die verglijden en verzweven.

Telkens weder
klinkt het teeder
leeuwrikslied in juichend zwieren,
kwam van snaren
zang gevaren,
speelden Goden op hun lieren?

Zonneluister,
windgefluister,
en mijn handen vol seringen,
o mijn voeten
dansen moeten,
en aanhoudend wille ik zingen.
