Morgen wird's! Am Waldesrande Sitz ich hier und spintisier; Ach, jedweder meiner Schritte Trug mich weiter fort von dir! Vielen ging ich schon vorüber; Nimmer wünscht ich mich zurück; Warum flüstern heut die Lüfte: Diesmal aber war's das Glück! Von den Bäumen Tauestropfen Fallen auf mein heiß Gesicht -- Sankt Cäcilia! Solch Paar Augen Sah ich all mein Lebtag nicht! Stadttrompeter, Organiste! Wär's denn wirklich gar so dumm? -- Holla hoch, ihr jungen Beine, Macht euch auf! Wir kehren um. Ruf nur, Kuckuck, dort im Walde! Siehst so bald mich nun nicht mehr, Denn in Puder und Manschetten Schreit ich ehrenfest einher. Golden spielt der Staub der Straßen -- Herz, Geduld! bald bist du da. Hei! wie lieblich soll es klingen: Musikus und Musika!
