O Priester

o Priester die, na Christi maat,
hermaakt en hergeboren staat,
ver boven ons, en God nabij,
dat iedereen indachtig zij
dat, of de wereld lacht en spot,
gij zijt en blijft een man van God!
 
Blijft staan, eerweerdig kranke vat,
blijft steunen op Gods hulpe; en dat,
door u geleerd en voorgegaan,
wij recht in uwe schreden staan,
ter tijd dat, vrij van zonde en pijn,
wij, met en door u, zalig zijn!
