Een vælger sig Forglemmigej, 
som gror ved Kildens Rislevej.

En Anden smaa Violer blaa,
der Vaarens Bud i Skoven gaa.

Men Een i Glød ta'r Rosen rød, 
som den fra Somrens Hjerte skød.

Een smiler til et Farvespil, 
en Anden Duften aande vil.

Een søger dem i Skovens Hjem, 
og En hvad Haven trylled frem.

Saa raaberHver: „O kom, se her,  
giv Prisen den, jeg mest har kær !“

Jeg svarer: „Nej", thi paa min Vej 
slet Ingen, Ingen vælger jeg.

Ak,jeg har Sands for Alles Glands,
