by Marinus Børup (1891 - 1959)

Så jeg dem atter
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Så jeg dem atter i aftensol,
tavse, de mægtige kroner.
Fældet den abild med bogfinkbol -
fuglen vel fanget i doner!
  Furen, som før
  glitrede, tør!
Svundne de rislende toner.

Blødende sol over ælmens brus,
pilen så fattig og runken.
Ned over tomten en vold af grus,
lav som en grav, der er sunken.
  Længe jeg stod. -
  Løntoppens blod
gløded, og slukkede funken.

Gysende hvisked de dunkle trær.
Fjendtlig og angst lå haven.
Hviskede: mennesket, mennesket nær.
Snart er vi faldne for saven.
  Tøvende drys,
  slyngrosens kys
visnende værgede graven.
