Ach Gott, ein Grablied meinem Herzen stimmt, Weil von der Erde nun es Abschied nimmt. Verschworen hat's den argen Mummenschanz, Den Schleier nimmt es and den Rosenkranz. Ins Kloster geht's, die Kutte legt es an, Ein Heilger wird's, zu dem man beten kann. Einst tanzt es als ein Sternlein hoch im Blau; Hernieder fiel es und erlosch im Tau. Ein Schwärmer stieg's in die entzückte Luft, Versprühte buntes Licht; nun ist's verpufft! Johanniskäfer war's und glühte schön; Nun ist's ein Würmchen, häßlich anzusehn. Wie Nachtigall sang's Liebe immerzu; Ein Käuzchen ward es nun and ruft schuhu.
