Și fiecare, poate, e un dor de ducă.
Sînt țipete de bucurie și chemări,
Sînt păsări albe-n rotogol pe mări...
Undeai zburat, nălucă, palidă nălucă?

Și sînt în zare păsări cenușii...
Sînt renunțări, bat aripile sombre...
E sufletul ce l-ai avut fîșii, fîșii...
Subt cer de plumb trec păsări cenușii,
Un gînd nespus, un plîns vitat: octombre!

Sînt păsări negre pe pămînt, colea, colea.
Cinea trimis așa curînd ai morții îngeri?
Destinul parcă se-n-dura, ne ocolea...
Sînt păsări negre pe pămînt, colea, colea...
Pleca-ți! Nu mai vesti-ți dezastre și înfrîngeri!

Oh, și mai sînt, sînt păsări mari albastre
Dar prea departe... mult prea departe, sus...
Lumini de re-n-viere, pe dezastre.
