I thought I'd forgotten
Language: German (Deutsch)
I thought I'd forgotten, but still I remember Your face and your voice and your smile; The mem'ry of things that are over and ended Still haunts me just once in a while. Along the old road that we travelled together So many reminders are set; It doesn't seem fair that I'm sad to remember, While you are just glad to forget. I thought you'd remember, but you have forgotten The wonderful plans that we made; The beautiful dreams like the summer's sweet roses, That bloom for a season and fade. Along the old road that we travelled together, I pause at each milestone, and yet_ I somehow feel glad that I'm bound to remember, While you are just free to forget.
