by Sophie Augustine Dellevie (1796 - 1864)

An mein Schifflein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Trag' mich, Schifflein, leise leise,
ruhig fort in ebnem Gleise,
über helle Silberwogen
wo der Schwan sanft hingezogen:
trag' mich, Schifflein, leise leise,
ruhig fort in ebnem Gleise,

Bei des Mondes mattem Schimmer,
bei der Sterne goldnem Flimmer
wiegt sich's lieblich auf den Fluthen
nach des Tages heißen Gluthen:
trag' mich Schifflein, leise leise,
ruhig fort in ebnem Gleise,

Mag die Welt sich auch bekriegen,
fallen die, und jene siegen,
soll mir heut nicht Kummer machen,
will mich wiegen nur im Nachen,
denn der falschen Erde Gaukeln,
traun! vergißt sich bei dem Schaukeln:
Darum möcht' durchs ganze Leben
ich wohl so im Schifflein schweben.
Trag' mich Schifflein, leise leise,
ruhig fort in ebnem Gleise.
