Der Trommler
Language: German (Deutsch)
Der kleine Trommler zog voraus --
   Ridibum!
Wohl in den Krieg, wohl in den Strauß.
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

Und als er kam vor des Königs fein Haus -
   Ridibum!
Des Königs Töchterlein schaute heraus.
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

"Herr König! dein Mädel ist schmuck und jung --
   Ridibum!
Die wär' mir zum Weibe gut genung."
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

"Mein Sohn! du trommelst wie ein Ries' --
   Ridibum!
Doch ist dein Fell kein goldnes Bließ."
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

"Sind aber tausend Soldaten mein --
   Ridibum!
Marschiren alle hinter mir drein --
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

Marschiren durch die weite Welt --
   Ridibum!
Und nehmen was uns wohlgefällt."
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

"So komm' und frag' ein andermal --
   Ridibum!
Du hast das Zeug zum General."
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!

"Herr König und bin ich Offizier --
   Ridibum!
So such' ich eine Schönre mir."
   Ridibum! Ridibum, bum, bum!
