Im Dämmerschatten lag der Blumenflor, Du kamst mit leichtem Schritt durch's Gartentor, Ich sah als du vom Strauch die Rose brachst, Ich lauschte deinem Wort, als leis du sprachst. Die zarte Rose ward des Windes Raub, Es flieht vor meinem Tritt das welke Laub, Ein matter Nebelstreif zu Tale schlich, Ich geh' in Einsamkeit und denk' an dich.
