by Bertel Gripenberg (1878 - 1947)

Nya stjärnor
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Jag längtar till fjärran segling
på okända, nattliga haf,
till främmande stjärnors spegling
i okända böljors graf,
till främmande vågors bränning
mot osedda stränders sten,
till obekant skräck och spänning
i okända stjärnors sken.

O, nya stjärnor, i natten
till er jag skälfvande ber
i drömmar om nattblankt vatten
där månskärans spegling ler.
O, nya stjärnor, jag ligger
i längtan på knä för er,
i vaka och bồn jag tigger
om undret som icke sker.
