by Josef Weinheber (1892 - 1945)

Kleine Fuge
Language: German (Deutsch)
Brauner Wald, süßes Haar,
Locke wild und wunderbar.
Rehgestalt, Mond und Schnee,
kühler Körper weich und weh.
Schale, zier mir bewahrt,
so zerbrechlich, oh, so zart!

Wunder Mund, abgrundhaft:
Leidens Mal, Leidens Kraft.
Leidens Kraft, Leidens Mal,
so zerbrechlich, oh, so schmal!
Mir bewahrt, mir bewacht,
lang durch Menschennacht.

Mond und Schnee. Leis verfällt
Mund und Braue, Weg und Welt,
nur der Stern “Schläfenblau”
steht am Himmel, schönste Frau!
