by Julius Wolff (1834 - 1910)

Du meine Wonne, du meine Lust
Language: German (Deutsch)
Du meine Wonne, du meine Lust,
Herrliche, Prächtige, Süße!
In meinen Arm und an meine Brust,
Daß ich von Herzen dich grüße!

Stehest, des Lebens holdseliges Bild,
Rüstig und fest auf dem Grunde,
Blickest mit Augen wie Sterne so mild,
Lächelst mit blühendem Munde.

"Hegest im schwellenden Busen die Kraft,
Freuden und Leiden zu tragen,
Wägest und findest, was fördert und schafft,
Kluges und Kühnes zu wagen.

Und daß du mein bist, rothrosiges Lieb!
Mein in der Minne Bescheide,
Und daß ich dir meine Seele verschrieb,
Wissen herzeinig wir beide.

Faß ich's in Worte? dräng' ich's zurück?
Laß ich's in Tönen erklingen?
Möchte mit dir, du mein wonniges Glück,
Hoch in die Lüfte mich schwingen.
