Chylisz główkę na pierś białą, Łza w oczętach drży. Co się tobie, dziewczę, stało? Skąd te duże łzy? Może w chwilach uprzytomnień Znikłych serca mar Czujesz rozkosz dawnych wspomnień, Dawnych marzeń czar? Może ciebie róże smucą, Że uwiędły już?... Wróci Wiosna, kwiaty wrócą, Wróci chwila róż! I przyleci znów motyli Różnobarwny tłum. Brzoza długi warkocz schyli, W szmer uderzy, w szum. Ze snu ziemia się ocuci, Ciepły spadnie deszcz. W wonnych gajach pieśń zanuci Słowik, bard i wieszcz. Wszystko będzie drogie, nowe, W radość przejdzie żal. Wrócą noce księżycowe, Zabrzmi koncert fal. Chyba — serce niespokojne Tajną burzą wre, Toczy wielką uczuć wojnę, Wzlecieć do gwiazd chce. Wtedy kwiatom brak koloru, Tracą urok kras. Smutnie spływa cień wieczoru Z marzeniami wraz. Bo uczuciem nie zawładną, Sercu serca brak. Nie przeczują nic, nie zgadną: Róża — motyl — ptak!
