Von so hehrer Pracht 
Und so trautem, trautem, holdem Reiz 
Gibt's kein andres Land 
Wie mein Vaterland, 
Gibt's kein andres Land wie meine Schweiz!

  Mächt'ger braust das Meer, 
Reicher blüht's umher, 
Aber denk' ich dein, mein grüner See, 
Wenn das Alphorn klingt, 
Dich in Schlummer singt,
Ach! am fremden Strand wie wird mir weh!
