by Leopoldo Lugones Argüello (1874 - 1938)

Nocturno
Language: Spanish (Español)
Grave fué nuestro amor; y más callada
aquella noche frescamente umbría,
Polvorosa de estrellas se ponía
Cual la profundidad de una cascada.

Con la íntima dulzura del suceso
que abandonó a mis labios tus sonrojos,
delirados de sombra vi tus ojos
en la embebida asiduidad del beso.

Y lo que en ellos se asomó a mi vida,
fué tu alma, hermana de mi desventura.
Avecilla poética y oscura
que aleteaba en tus párpados rendida.
