by Johann Ludwig Tieck (1773 - 1853)

Idylle
Language: German (Deutsch)
"Was regst du, mein Wein, in dem Fass dich?
"Es brachten die Düfte mir Kunde
Von der Inbrunst meines Erzeugers,
Das regte das Innre mir auf.

Ich möchte die Baude zersprengen,
Die von ihm mich ferne halten,
Und zerfliessen, und in den Düften
Zusammenströmen mit ihm."

So bringen heimliche Stimmen
Der Geister Psychen die Kunde
Von der unendlichen Liebe
Im unendlichen, ihrem Erzeuger ;

Und es dehnet sich ihr das Herz aus,
In unbeschreiblicher Wehmuth,
In unaussprechlicher Sehnsucht,
Bis die irdische Hülle zerreisst.
