by Augusto de Lima (1859 - 1934)

A moça que mora em frente
Language: Portuguese (Português)
[A moça]1 que mora em frente
é uma moça indiferente,
não sei que mistério tem:
não chega nunca à janela,
ninguém olha para ela,
nem ela para ninguém.

Mas [conta-se]2 que a horas mortas,
fechadas todas as portas
da vizinhança, ela sai,
e ao cemitério chorosa
vai desfolhar uma rosa
por sobre a campa do pai.
