El sol con sus rayos rojos ya no brilla, ya no arde; que está dormida la tarde y está dormida en tus ojos. Al morir, con mil halagos, te deja en ellos el día, su vaga melancolía y sus resplandores vagos; y al tender la noche el velo por las esferas oscuro, te ruega que guardes puro, el diáfano azul del cielo. Por eso, hermosa, los tules que en tus ojos hay presentes, [hijo vagos, hijo transparentes, hijo]1 soñolientos y azules. Por eso con rayos rojos, el sol ni brilla ni arde, que está dormida la tarde, y está dormida en tus ojos.
