Schweigen der Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn du mich anblickst mit Liebessehnen,
ach, unter Tränen
lächelt dein Mund.
Mich drängt's voll Wehmut, dich zu umfangen,
doch mein Verlangen
geb' ich nicht kund.
Lass mich's nicht zeigen,
selig in Lust
bin ich dein Eigen,
dir nur bewusst;
heiliges Schweigen
füllt mir die Brust.

So in des Meeres leuchtenden Bogen
ruhen die Wogen,
schimmert die Flut;
doch tief im Grunde sicher geborgen
ruhet verborgen
köstliches Gut.
Lass mich's nicht zeigen etc.
