Vaarsang 
Language: Danish (Dansk) 
Ved Foraarstide det risler med Sang, 
ud over Alverdens Enge, 
til Jordens evige Jubelklang 
stemmes Hjerternes Strenge: 
for den fagre Tid, 
som vi vented saa længe. 

Nu spirer der Græs af Solgudens Spor, 
nu løves hvad længe laa øde, 
i Høst det lagdes i sorten Jord, 
men nu staar det op fra de døde: 
sa tavst de tusinde Blomster gror 
sig skinnende ranke og røde. 

Den unge Kvinde har Vaaren gemt 
dybest i Hjertet inde: 
der skyder hver Blomst man troede glemt 
og dufter saa sødt som et Minde; 
men naar og for hvem 
skal Myrtenkransen hun binde?
