by Adolf Wilhelm Theodor Stahr (1805 - 1876)

Hinaus
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun geht es in die weite Welt
Hinaus aus enger Klause.
Soweit sich spannt das Himmelszelt --
  Die weite Welt,
Die große, lichte, weite Welt
In ihr sind wir zu Hause.

O horch, wie hell die Lerche singt
Aus blauen Fruhlingslüften!
Und all' die Vöglein leicht beschwingt,
  Ein jedes singt,
Es singt und schmettert, daß es klingt
Bis zu den tiefsten Grüften:

"Heraus, heraus ihr Armen all',
Die ihr so lang gefangen!"
Da treibt mich fort der Jubelschall
  Über Berg und Thal,
Im Morgenschimmer, im Abendstrahl,
An ihrer Brust zu hangen.
