Meine Kinder da unten, die Blumen
Language: German (Deutsch)
"Meine Kinder da unten, die Blumen
Sie dürsten und sind so matt,
Ich muß hinunter zu ihnen,
Muß tränken sie alle satt."

So sagt der Regen und träufelt
Und strömt zur Erde hin,
Und freudig erheben die Blumen
Sich wieder und duften und blühn.

"Dort unten, die nackte Erde,
Ihr ist so eisig, so kalt,
Ich muß ihr zu Hülfe eilen,
Muß wärmen sie alsobald."

So sagt der Schnee und streuet
Die Flocken aus voller Hand, --
Und schützend verhüllt nun die Erde
Ein warmes Wintergewand.
