by Julius Rodenberg (1831 - 1914)

Vom Berge wallt Nebel
Language: German (Deutsch)
Vom Berge wallt Nebel,
Es rieselt, es rinnt;
Durch's Stoppelfeld fliegen
Die Blätter im Wind.

Tief streichen die Raben
Und schwinden am Wald;
Das Glöcklein der Heerde
Im Dunkel verhallt.

Fern rollt noch ein Wagen,
Fern gellt noch ein Schrei --
Ein Flüstern im Hagen --
Nun Alles vorbei.

Tief unten im Thale
Steht einsam ein Haus;
Es blinkt aus dem Fenster
Ein Lichtlein heraus.
