Das Auge
Language: German (Deutsch)
Aus dem Auge schaut die Seele,
In dem Auge wohnt ein Licht
Das ich mir zum Leitstern wähle
Das von hoher Ahnung spricht.

Aus dem Auge leuchtet Leben,
Leuchtest du Unsterblichkeit,
Aufwärts blickt des Geistes Streben
In die Welt der Ewigkeit.

Wer des Auges Sprache kennet,
Wer in seine Tiefen schaut;
Was kein Wort verrathen nennet
Sagt sein Strahl dem Forscher laut;

Was es suchet, was es meidet,
Was im Innern Niemand lie'st [sic],
Schweigend duldet, hoffend leidet,
Oft das Auge frei erschliesst.

Alles was den Geist verkündet,
Seelenvoller, offner Blick,
Sagst du mir und in dir findet
Sich das Vorgefühl von Glück,

Das auf Seraphschwingen steiget
Kühn hinan wo Hoffnung siegt,
Dorthin wo die Ahnung schweiget
Und Gewissheit vor uns liegt.
