by Rudolph Baumbach (1840 - 1905)

Ich bin gelaufen aus Schul' und Lehr'
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich bin gelaufen aus Schul' und Lehr'
Und habe zerknickt die Feder.
Ade auf Nimmerwiederkehr,
Magister und Katheder.
Vergessen hab' ich den Cicero
Und alle klassischen Alten.
Delectat variatio,
Das hab' ich allein behalten.

Hab' lang getrunken saures Bier
Und blonde Dirne umfangen.
Jetzt lüstet mich's nach Malvasier
Und dunkelbraunen Wangen.
Schwarzblaue Trauben gibt's am Po,
Dazu schwarzlockige Mädchen.
Delectat variatio,
Fahrwohl, du blondes Kätchen!
