by Pia Sophie Rogge-Börner (1878 - 1955), as Christa Hoch

Karfreitag
Language: German (Deutsch)
Karfreitag liegt auf den Feldern so schwer,
als ob der Erdkreis gestorben wär.
Bleigrauer Himmel senkt sich herab,
Nebel umdüstern ein harrendes Grab.

"Dir, Vater, befehle ich meinen Geist!"
Mitten der Vorhang im Tempel zerreißt.
Finsternis lastet rings in der Runde
von der sechsten zur neunten Stunde.

Starre. Schweigen. Büßende Stille.
"Ewiger Gott, so gescheh dein Wille!"
Da --?-- tönet es nicht ferne wie neuer Klang?
Harre, mein Herz, es ist Ostergesang!
