Bland skogens höga furustammar, där ha vi byggt vår egen kammar, där snön just faller först, och drivan är som störst och nordanljuset rödast flammar. Jag trivdes gott i låga källen, där var så ljust i stjärnekvällen; jag kan väl trivas än tillsammans med min vän och leva nöjd och dö bland fjällen.
