by Karl Busse (1872 - 1918)

Nach dem Balle
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hinter den weiühender Zweig dir im Haar,
Schwer rauschten des Kleides Falten,
Und mühsam, mit zuckendem Lippenpaar,
Hast du dir die Thränen verhalten.

Kaum daß du leise den Kopf bewegt,
Ein dankendes Wort mir zu spenden,
Als ich den Mantel dir umgelegt
Mit heißen, zitternden Händen.

Das Licht am Wagen brannte so fahl,
Die Rosse stampften und zogen,
Es hat ein Kopf in heimlicher Qual
Sich tief in die Kissen gebogen.

Mich aber zog es noch einmal zurück
In die verlassenen Räume,
Ein Strauß am Boden.. ein welkes Glück..
Zertretne Blumen und Träume.
