by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Ständchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schläfst du schon, mein süßes Mädchen,
Weckt dich nicht der Mondenschein,
Der durch's enge Fensterlädchen
Späh't so gern zu dir hinein?

Hast du keinen Schuh am Füßchen,
Komm nur gleich so wie du bist,
Friert's dabei dich auch ein Bißchen,
Denk' wie heiß mein Sehnen ist!

Weh' herab im leichten Röckchen,
Weißt ja, daß in schlichter Tracht
Schöner du, als all die Döckchen
Die nur schön ein Flitter macht.

Komm, damit dein Rosenmündchen
Mich durchström' mit Seligkeit,
Nur ein kleines, kleines Stündchen
Für so viel verlorne Zeit!

Confirmed with Johann Nepomuk Vogl, Neue Gedichte, Leipzig: Christian Ernst Kollmann, 1856, page 94.
