by Adolf Grimminger (1827 - 1903)

Lieber Dorn, als Horn
Language: Swabian (Schwäbisch)
Mei Schatz hot Resede
Und -- vielerloi no'
Gibt gern eme Jede
A Schträußle devo'.

Mei Schatz der liebt 's Wandre,
Schpielt d' luschtig Theres',
Vom Oine zum Andre --
Was hilft mi denn des?

Drum fort mit dem Ringle,
Mit Namen und Gflecht!
Wen freut son a Dingle,
Ischt d'Liebe net ächt?

Jetzt such i mir a Plätzle,
Wie d'Lerchen am Roi',
Denn hot mer a Schätzle
So will mer's alloi.

A Braune mit Laune
Gibt's überall, schau,
Und find't sich koi' Braune,
A Schwarze thut's au'.
