Mondschein glänzt hernieder hold; Tropft herab wie flüssig Gold Von den Blüthenzweigen; Klänge durch die Lüfte wehn, Die wie eine Botschaft gehn Durch das nächt'ge Schweigen. Sel'ger Frieden! -- O wie schön, Solchem Ton von Himmelshöhn Ahnungsvoll zu lauschen! -- Wohl an ihm mit Sehnsuchtsschmerz Mag das sturmverschlag'ne Herz Nächtlich sich berauschen.
