by Friedrich Kampmann (1828 - 1902)

Selten bei der Sonne Schein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Selten bei der Sonne Schein
Schlägt die Nachtigall;
Aber bricht die Nacht herein,
Tönt ihr süßer Schall.

Tönet über Berg und Thal
Fernhin durch die Luft,
Koset mit des Mondes Strahl
Mit der Rose Duft.

Darum, weil du ferne mir,
Meine Sonne du,
Drängt auch mich die Sangbegier
Sonder Rast und Ruh.

Und es ströt die Lieder Klang
Aus der vollen Brust,
Koset mit der Sehnsucht Drang,
Mit der Hoffnung Lust.
