Sternlein am Himmel, glühst wandelnd so hell,
goldenes Schifflein auf bläulicher Well'!
Strahlende Segel hast auf du gespannt,
badest in Fluten, von Keinem gekannt.
Sternlein am Himmel, zieh glanzvoll dahin,
sei uns ein Führer, wo einstens wir zieh'n.

Sternlein am Himmel, dich seh' ich so gern,
scheinst mir ein freundliches Auge des Herrn.
Seh' ich dein Flimmern im nächtlichen Chor,
ziehst meine Sehnsucht du mächtig empor.
Sternlein am Himmel, ins Herz mir hinein,
lass es da drinnen recht sternenhell sein!
