O wie singt es, O wie klingt es, Mir zum Herzen O wie dringt es! Hören ihren Wonneschall, Dicht vor unserem Fensterlein, Läßt, so scheint es, Nachtigall. Aber nein! Denn zugleich Mit so hellem Auge blinkt es, In so trauter Weise winkt es; 'S ist der Schelm, der Liebste mein; Eine Nachtigall zum Schein, Trillert er so wunderfein, Grüßet er so hold herein.
