rond de bleeke winterlamp
Verre van de schrille wereld
van haar drukte van haar kamp

Zoo gezongen, kon het lied gedijen
tot een stem der innigheid
Tot de ziel van 't zoet mysterie
dat de kamer tot tempel wijdt

Voor een groepje trouwe vrienden
(drie of vier, het is genoeg),
Die de vleugel met hun dromen.
vaak naar hooger sferen droeg.
