by Guido (Pieter Theodoor Jozef) Gezelle (1830 - 1899)

Komt hier, mijn Roozenkrans
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Komt hier, mijn Roozenkrans;
het is mij al ontvlogen
waaraan ik troost weleer
en lafenis vragen dorst.
Het is mij al ontgaan
het heeft mij al bedrogen,
't Is ijdel en het gloeiit
in dees gepijnde borst.
Geen bronne meer die spruit,
geen dauwdrops helpend leken,
geen blaren aan den boom,
geen water in de beken,
niet, niet als bittre smert
die langs mijn kaken glijdt,
en gij, mijn Roozenkrans
die mij gebleven zijt!
