Schläft denn alles noch?
Auf, ihr edlen Herr'n vom Rhein,
auf aus dunklem Kämmerlein!

Aus den Fässern, edle Herr'n!
Jungfrau Rose harrt nicht gern,
und ihr zögert noch?
