by Karl Gustaf Larson (1873 - 1948), as Larin-Kyösti

Talvikuutamolla
Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Niin hiljainen on katu, on kuulas tähtiyö,
ja vanha kirkonkello jo kahtatoista lyö.
Ja lumi peittää katot ja härmää huokuu maa,
käy pakkanen ja paukkuu, kyyviirit vingahtaa.
On kummallista kaikki, maa tyynnä hengittää,
sen unta taivas valvoo, ja sieluun rauha jää.
Nään sadun suurta unta, kuu hohtaa huoneeseen,
ja hilseen hilke soittaa mun uneen hiljalleen.
