Sa 'yong kandungan
Language: Tagalog (Filipino)
Our translations:  ENG
Sa laot ng hatinggabi
Puso ko’y naglalamay,
Humahanap ng lunas
Sa dusa kong tinataglay;

Sa aki’y itinuro mo
Ang suminta at magmahal
At ngayong natutuhan ko
Iyo ng binayaan.

Halina irog ko awa mo’y ilawit,
At di na mabata dulot mong pasakit
Kung di rin hihimlay sa ‘yong kandungan
Makalilibo pang ako ay mamatay.

On your lap
Language: English  after the Tagalog (Filipino)
Upon the shores of midnight,
My heart despairs in its own funeral.
I search for a cure,
To the anguish I have.

You taught me, you allowed me to know,
What it is to love, how to love
And now that I know only this
You have now set me aside.

Come, my love, let your mercy dangle
That I might cling to it and forget the pain you bring
For if, upon your lap, within your being, I cannot be
Then a thousand deaths have I.
