Tischlerlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
Mein Handwerk geht durch alle Welt,
Und bringt mir manchen Thaler Geld.
Deß bin ich hoch vergnügt.
Den Tischler braucht ein jeder Stand:
Schon wird das Kind durch meine Hand
[Im]1 sanften Schlaf gewiegt.

Das Bette zu der Hochzeitnacht
Wird auch durch meinen Fleiß gemacht,
Und künstlich angemahlt.
Ein Geizhals sei auch noch so karg,
Er braucht [am Ende]2 einen Sarg,
Und der wird gut bezahlt.

Drum hab' ich immer frohen Muth,
Und mache meine Arbeit gut,
[Es sei Tisch oder]3 Schrank.
Und wer bei mir [brav]4 viel bestellt,
Und zahlt mir immer baares Geld,
Dem sag' ich großen Dank.

La cançó del fuster
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
El meu treball d’artesà va a parar arreu al món
i em reporta molts diners;
d’això n’estic força content.
Gent de tota mena necessiten un fuster,
ja l’infant, gràcies a les meves mans
és bressolat per fer-lo adormir dolçament.

El llit per a la nit de noces
també és obra meva,
pintat artísticament.
Un garrepa per més mesquí que sigui
a la fi dels seus dies necessitarà un taüt
i això es paga molt bé.

Per això sempre estic de bon humor
i faig bé el meu treball,
ja siguin taules o armaris.
I a aquells que bonament em fan moltes comandes,
i que paguen sempre al comptat,
els dono les més efusives gràcies.
