Het keurslijf

Het meisje wou een vrijer pront,
Al moest zij hem graven zelfs uit de grond!
 
Zij groef al af, zij groef al op,
Een trotse vrijer groef zij op.
 
De vrijer was heel welgesteld,
Hij gaf het meisje heel wat geld.
 
Hij gaf een keurslijf haar, heel smal,
Dat zat gespannen overal.
 
Dat zat gespannen veel te strak,
Het meisje stierf van 't ongemak.
 
Ach, plant drie rozen op het graf,
Dan komt mijn vrijer en plukt ze af.
