Das Mädchen aus der Fremde

Language: German (Deutsch)

In einem Thal [bei]1 armen Hirten
Erschien mit jedem jungen Jahr,
Sobald die ersten Lerchen schwirrten,
Ein Mädchen, schön und wunderbar.

Sie war nicht in dem Thal gebohren,
Man wußte nicht, woher sie kam,
[Doch]1 schnell war ihre Spur verloren,
Sobald das Mädchen Abschied nahm.

Beseligend war ihre Nähe
Und alle Herzen wurden weit,
Doch eine Würde, eine Höhe
Entfernte die Vertraulichkeit.

Sie brachte Blumen mit und Früchte,
Gereift auf einer andern Flur,
In einem andern Sonnenlichte,
In einer glücklichern Natur.

Und theilte jedem eine Gabe,
Dem Früchte, jenem Blumen aus,
Der Jüngling und der Greis am Stabe,
Ein jeder gieng beschenkt nach Haus.

Willkommen waren alle Gäste,
Doch nahte sich ein liebend Paar,
Dem reichte sie der Gaben beste,
Der Blumen allerschönste dar.

La noia de l’estranger

Language: Catalan (Català) after the German (Deutsch)

En una vall, a casa d’uns pobres pastors,
apareixia cada principi d’any,
tan aviat com voletejaven les aloses,
una bella i meravellosa noia.

Ella no havia nascut a la vall,
ningú sabia d’on venia,
i de seguida es perdia el seu rastre
així que la noia s’acomiadava.

La seva presència era benvolguda
i tots els cors se li obrien,
però una certa dignitat, una noblesa,
allunyaven la familiaritat.

Portava flors i fruita,
madurada en altres camps,
sota una altra llum de sol,
en una natura més benaurada;

i donava a tothom un obsequi,
a un fruita, a un altre flors,
al jove i al vell amb bastó,
tots tornaven a casa amb algun regal.

Benvinguts eren tots els seus hostes,
però quan una parella d’amants se li acostà,
a ells els donà el millor regal,
la més bella de les seves flors.
