O trautes Land!
O heil'ger Strand!
O Flur, die jede Flur verdunkelt.
Flur, deren Schoß 
Die Blum' entsproß,
Die alle Blumen überfunkelt.

Paart nicht den Schnee
Der Lilie 
Die Holde mit der Gluth der Rosen.
Die Au', Ein Kranz 
Voll Duft und Glanz,
Reicht ihr den Preis, der Tadellosen.

Ihr Ambraduft
Durchweht die Luft
Und würzet rings die Näh' und Ferne.

El capvespre avança,
Temora vermelleja
en la resplendor del sol que s'enfonsa.
Mentre ell es pon,
besa el mar
fremint de veneració i benaurança.

Una flaire grisenca
sura a través de l'aire,
cobrint amb un vel les daurades prades de Daura.
Tot a l'entorn, bramula
el mar tenebrós
i una basarda plena de pressentiments regna arreu.

Oh terra estimada!
Oh sagrat ribatge!
Oh prada, que tota altra prada enfosqueix.
Una prada on, a la seva falda,
brosten les flors
més brillants que totes les altres flors.

No s'aparella la neu
amb el lliri, tal com aquesta
encisadora flor amb l'esclat de les roses?
La prada és una corona
plena de fragància i esplendor,
el premi per a la seva perfecció.

El seu perfum d'ambre
