Maienblümlein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  DUT
Maienblümlein so schön,
mag euch gern blühen sehn,
draußen im Freien
im grünen Maien,
Blümlein in Garten und Wiese,
keine so schön sind als diese.

Maienblümlein so süss
sind aller Lieb gewiss,
draußen im Garten
von allen Arten,
Blümlein in Garten und Wiese
keine so lieb sind als diese.

Maienblümlein so jung
seid noch nicht gross genung,
müsst euch bemühen
wachsen und blühen,
Blümlein auf duftiger Wiese
keine so jung sind als diese.

Maienblümlein so still
ich bald dich pflücken will,
pflücken für eine,
die ich wohl meine;
Mägdlein gehn viel auf der Wiese,
Einzig gefällt mir nur diese.

Bloempjes van mei
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Bloempjes van mei zo mooi,
Graag zie ‘k je bloesemtooi,
Buiten waar ’t vrij is,
In ’t groen als ‘t mei is,
Bloempjes in tuinen en weiden
Kunnen je schoonheid benijden.

Bloempjes van mei zo lief
Zijn ieders hartendief,
Buiten in tuinen,
Velden en duinen,
Bloempjes in tuinen en weiden
Kunnen je charme benijden.

Bloempjes van mei zo jong,
Nog iets te klein voor de sprong,
Ga je ontboeien,
Groeien en bloeien,
Bloempjes in geurige weiden
Kunnen je jonkheid benijden.

Bloempjes van mei zo stil,
Die gauw ik plukken wil,
Plukken voor eentje,
Mijn lief Marleentje,
Meisjes gaan vaak naar de weiden;
Eentje slechts mag ik graag lijden.
