Räuberlied

Language: German (Deutsch)

Hinter Büschen, hinterm Laub,
sitzt der Vogel, lauscht der Raub,
Nur der Adler schwingt die Flügel,
über Berge, über Hügel,
und der hung're Geier stiehlt
frei am Tage, ohne Schild;
alle andern lauschen spähn
mit den Füchsen, auf den Zeh'n!

Brechen vor und fallen her,
unerwartet, ungefähr.
Selbst der Löwe und der Tiger,
die gebor'nen edlen Sieger,
brauchen Kniffe, sind gewandt
und nicht einmal noch gerannt,
wenn's gezischelt in der Näh',
wie die Schlange auf der Späh'!

Cançó dels rapinyaires

Language: Catalan (Català) after the German (Deutsch)

Darrere els matolls, darrere el fullatge,
es troba l’ocell, sotja el rapinyaire,
tan sols l’àguila bat les ales
damunt muntanyes, damunt tossals,
i el voltor famolenc rampinya
lliure de dia, sense resguard;
tots els altres sotgen, aguaiten,
amb les guineus, caminant de puntetes!

Avancen i es llencen al damunt,
de sobte, sense pensar.
Fins i tot el lleó i el tigre,
els nobles vencedors per naturalesa,
necessiten astúcia, són àgils,
i ni tan sols fugen
quan senten xiular a prop,
com la serp a l’aguait.
