Liebesrausch

Language: German (Deutsch)

Dir, Mädchen, schlägt mit leisem Beben
Mein Herz voll Treu und Liebe zu.
In Dir, in Dir versinkt mein Streben,
Mein schönstes Ziel bist Du!
Dein Name nur in heil'gen Tönen
Hat meine kühne Brust gefüllt,
Im Glanz des Guten und des Schönen
Strahlt mir Dein [hohes]1 Bild.

Die Liebe sproßt aus zarten Keimen,
Und ihre Blüthen welken nie!
Du, Mädchen, lebst in meinen Träumen
Mit süßer Harmonie.
Begeist'rung rauscht auf mich hernieder,
Kühn greif ich in die Saiten ein,
Und alle meine schönsten Lieder,
Sie nennen Dich allein.

Mein Himmel glüht in Deinen Blicken,
An Deiner Brust mein Paradies.

Liefdesroes

Language: Dutch (Nederlands) after the German (Deutsch)

Jij, meisje, doet het zachtjes beven,
Dat zwaar verliefde hart van mij.
In jou, in jou valt stil mijn streven,
Mijn mooiste doel ben jij!
Jouw naam alleen, in heil'ge tonen
Is 't die mijn dapp're borst doorspeelt;
Beglansd door 't goede en het schone
Straalt mij jouw edel beeld.

Uit tere kiem is voortgekomen
De liefdebloem die nooit verkwijnt.
Jij, meisje, leeft steeds in mijn dromen,
Met zoetheid zonder eind.
Verrukking komt mij overspoelen,
Ferm sla ik nu de snaren aan
En al mijn lied'ren, vol gevoelen,
Zij noemen slechts jouw naam.

Mijn hemel gloeit zacht in jouw ogen,
En aan jouw borst voel ik mij goed.
Ach, al jouw charmes, zielsbevlogen,
Zij zijn zo lief, zo zoet.
Mijn hart deint mee op vreugd en smarten,
Slechts één verlangen leidt mij trouw,
Slechts één gedacht' beheerst mij 't harte:
De eeuw'ge drang naar jou.
